We're planning for the future of the former Men's Shed site in White Gum Valley.
In 2018 we gathered ideas from community groups and local adults and children on what function this space could provide.
These were assessed and built on at a community workshop and online survey, to determine which would provide the most benefit.
A draft concept was developed and released for feedback in early 2019. It aimed to complement the surrounding area, existing park and the swale as well as provide as many functions identified by the community as possible. Budget was also requested for 2019/20.
While nearly half of respondents felt the design fulfilled their needs, the feedback showed amendments will need to be made to the draft concept. Budget was not allocated in 2019/20 so a funding request will be resubmitted for consideration in the 2020/21 budget process.
Once more is known about the nearby Main Roads WA (MRWA) project and an amended plan is available, this will be released for feedback.
Full information on the engagement to date is available in the document library.
