The City of Fremantle is creating a new Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP).

The DAIP is the City's plan for improving access and inclusion over the next five years.

Your ideas and experiences help make Fremantle more accessible and welcoming for everyone.

We encourage people with lived experience of disability, as well as families, carers, support people and anyone with suggestions, to let us know what you think.

Together, we can help build a city where everyone can participate, feel welcome and belong.

How can I share my ideas?

There are lots of ways to get involved.

Online:

• Complete the DAIP Survey or Submit Your Story Your Way
• Drop a pin in our Interactive Accessibility Map.

Come to the DAIP drop-in session

• Date: Saturday 19 September
• Time: 1-4pm
  
• Location: Mardoo Room, Fremantle Library (downstairs)

At the drop-in session you can:

• learn more about the project
• ask questions
• share your ideas
• talk to staff and others in the community

Drop-in sessions are for everyone. You can arrive and leave whenever you like.

• by yourself
• with your family
• with a support person or animal
• as part of a group

What will the City do?

The City will:

• listen to people's experiences
• learn from lived experience
• tell the community what we heard
• explain how community feedback helped shape the DAIP
• continue working with the community to improve access and inclusion.

Feedback closes Monday 5 October 2026 at 5:00 pm AWST.
