The City of Fremantle is committed to providing opportunities for members of the public to participate in the civic decision-making process, and to nurture a culture that respects and welcomes community input.
Community precinct groups are a mode of engagement that encourage any community member to take an active role in helping Fremantle be a great place to live, work, or play. These groups, led by volunteer precinct conveners, organise open forum meetings where any member of the community can attend to discuss and help find solutions to local issues, assist in turning community ideas into reality, organise local events, uncover future opportunities, nurture community bonding and celebrate civic participation. Community precinct groups are an avenue for City officers to capture feedback from the community and maintain two-way communication between the public and the City of Fremantle.
