Consultation has concluded

The City of Fremantle has received a development proposal for housing for people experiencing homelessness.


The application proposes the development of 18 small homes at 5 (lot 5 & 6) Congdon Street, North Fremantle.

The "My Home" proposed temporary development will provide alternative housing for women over 55 on land that is owned by the State Government and has been identified for long-term public transport uses.

The architecturally designed homes will be demountable and sympathetic to the surrounding area.

    At the Planning Committee meeting on 4 March 2020 the application was referred to the WA Planning Commission (WAPC) with a recommendation for approval, subject to conditions. An amended recommendation was moved and carried 7/0.
