Coral Park Hydrozoning & Irrigation Renewal
Consultation has concluded and a final design can be found in the news feed (near bottom of the project page).
We’re planning changes to the turfed areas at Coral Park to align with current water wise irrigation practices.
In order to improve the condition of the turfed areas at Coral Park, we will be replacing the irrigation system. At the same time we are proposing to hydrozone areas where turf is difficult to maintain or no longer required.
Hydrozoning includes the removal of non-water wise turf areas and turning them into mulched areas, some of which can be planted with water wise native plants and trees.
The concept plan below shows proposed changes including new mulched areas, new trees and concrete pads underneath the existing seating. There is also a mock up of the proposed planting along Wyola Lane to give an idea of what the new treatment could look like.
The City is very keen to ensure the changes meet the needs of all users, if you or your family use this park we’d like your input.
