Consultation has concluded
We're improving the Hilton town centre to make it a better gateway for the hundreds of people who use it every day.
Following community engagement in 2017, we have finalised a concept plan for the Hilton Town Centre that involves five key components:
Changed traffic conditions
Road resurfacing
Footpath and kerb upgrade
New street furniture
New street trees and planting
The upgrades will make it easier to cross South Street safely. We will also create a better space for people with some renewed footpath, street furniture, trees and avenue planting.
$300 000 has been set aside by the state government and the City of Fremantle to complete these works, which will start in April 2018.

The City of Fremantle is proposing some changes to the traffic conditions to reduce the number of traffic accidents and streetscape improvements to make Hilton town centre a safer and more welcoming place for everyone.
