The application proposes to deliver a seven storey over 55's development at Lot 310, 8 Queen Victoria Street, Fremantle. It proposes a mix of single and two bedroom apartments.

    This application will be determined by the Metro Inner South Joint Development Assessment Panel (JDAP) and was presented to Planning Committee for comment prior to determination.

    At the Planning Committee meeting on 7 July 2021 Council voted to not support the Officer's recommendation for approval. Council noted the proposed use of the site is strongly supported and the height in itself is not considered grounds for refusal. However, the combination of over-development of the site and the streetscape treatments are not an appropriate response for this site and cannot be supported by Council.
