Draft plan released for public comment

In 2016 we engaged with the community on what they most valued about Port, Leighton and Mosman Beaches.

As a result of the feedback, we've prepared a plan which aims to respect these views, whilst managing erosion and inundation issues along the beaches.

Key adaptation options include engineered dune stabilisation with revegetation and nourishment at Mosman Beach, beach monitoring and dune stabilisation along Leighton Beach and the Port Beach dunes, and a seawall and nourishment or dune stabilisation, revegetation and nourishment at Port Beach north and south - Sandtracks.

A full copy of the draft coastal adaptation plan is available: Coastal Hazard Risk Management Adaptation Plan for the Port, Leighton and Mosman Beaches.

We'd like to hear your feedback on the adaptation pathways and options. Feedback closes 6 October 2017.
