The plan has uncovered a number of key strategic issues, trends and challenges for the City to address to effectively meet the current and future community facility needs of the population.

It's been valuable hearing what you want for community facilities in the future.
We'll be using this feedback to develop our draft community facilities plan, which we'll be presenting to council in mid 2017 for adoption.

Community Facilities Plan: Future Directions 2036 has finished this stageA framework will be developed to guide what facilities are required at a local, district and regional level and a ‘planning standard’ for each type of community facility will be developed to ensure the accessible and equitable provision of community facilities across the City.

Stage 3 - Community Need Assessment
Community Facilities Plan: Future Directions 2036 has finished this stageThe Community Survey, Community Forums and consultation with other key stakeholders will form a major part of the Community Needs Assessment and exisitng City of Fremantle studies and plans that have community facilities implications will be examined to identify the needs and priorities that have already been established. Existing community facilities will also be reviewed to identify key issues, priorities and current and future capacity.

Stage 4 - Supply and Demand Analysis
Community Facilities Plan: Future Directions 2036 has finished this stageTrends in the provision and use of community facilities will be examined to determine the likely impacts on the use and demand for community facilities and a demand gap analysis will then be undertaken based on the findings and outcomes of the above stages and tasks.

Community Facilities Plan: Future Directions 2036 has finished this stageThe Community Facilities Plan will then be prepared to address the demand gap analysis, setting out the community facilities that will be required over the next 20 years and the short, medium and long term priorities.
