Approximately 150 stakeholders and community members were engaged in development of the Age Friendly Plan 2019-2024 in 2018 and providing feedback on the draft in 2019. The final draft was endorsed by the working group in March 2019.
The Age Friendly City Plan 2019-2024 will be presented for adoption at the Finance, Policy, Operations & Legislation Committee (FPOL) meeting on Wednesday 10 April 2019.
Committee and Council meetings are open to the public. The agenda for the FPOL meeting is available on the City of Fremantle website, by clicking here or visiting: www.fremantle.wa.gov.au/council/agendas-and-minutes
The FPOL meeting commences at 6.00pm in the North Fremantle Community Centre, 2 Thompson Road, North Fremantle. You are welcome to ask a question, make a statement or just observe the proceedings at open council and committee meetings. There are several ways to do this and you can find out more under 'community participation' on the City's website.
Subject to FPOL decision, the Plan will be presented at the Ordinary Council Meeting on Wednesday 17 April 2019.

We've developed a draft Age Friendly City Plan 2019-2024.
Based on the input from the Age Friendly Working Group, stakeholders and the community, the AFC Plan is organised in line with the eight WHO age friendly city domains.
It covers actions the City can lead, facilitate or promote as well as advocate for where the responsibility sits outside local government. The AFC Plan represents a whole-of-organisation approach and will be supported with an implementation plan.
The draft plan can be accessed by clicking
here or visiting the document library. Please tell us your thoughts by
Tuesday 19 March 2019.
