An application for planning approval for a new mixed use multi-residential and office building at 38 Holdsworth Street is available for public comment until 11 June 2018.


What's proposed in the design?

  • A four storey development with multi-residential units to the rear of the site, as well as smaller office spaces to the front of the site.
  • The residential and commercial parts of the development are divided into two areas, seperated by a ground floor courtyard.
  • Parking would be located in the basement, with a cross easement area established with the adjoining owner.
  • A combined material palette consisting of natural limestone to the front fence and ground floor exterior cladding, textured and coloured concrete boundary walls, timber composite cladding to the courtyard and front soffit cladding, and ironwork screens by local artists at the front balcony are proposed for the facades of the building.
  • A mix of hard and soft landscaped areas to the front, rear, central courtyard and roof garden on the second floor will include lawn, shrubs, and trees.
