Consultation has concluded

The Draft North Fremantle Foreshore Vegetation Management document sets out how we aim to enhance and manage vegetation along the North Fremantle foreshore.

The North Fremantle foreshore is a regional asset with a unique and varied landscape. The area is highly valued by the community for its recreational opportunities and its ecological, historical and cultural significance.

Yet the foreshore faces significant pressures that require active management and an agreed framework to guide long-term design, planning and management. That's why we've undertaken a detailed assessment of the North Fremantle foreshore vegetation and developed a set of management actions to:

  • reinstate local native fauna
  • determine appropriate bush fire hazard reduction measures
  • increase the stability of the cliff face; and
  • provide safe public access.
The Draft North Fremantle Foreshore Vegetation Management and Rocky Bay Reserve and Cypress Hill Bushfire Risk Management Report are the product of a collaborative process. Thank you to all who have shown interest in this project, and provided input.
