At the Ordinary Meeting of Council on Wednesday 27 February 2019,Council resolved to prepare a formal planning scheme amendment for the subject properties, subject to the following:
a. Payment of the rezoning fee by the proponent;
b. Requirement for a binding legal agreement in relation to the upgrades necessary for the rear laneway prior to the City formally supporting its dedication; and
c. Confirmation of no ‘in principle’ objection to the laneway dedication and upgrade from Western Power given the location of their asset within the access way.
Given this resolution, the City will now progress discussions with the proponent and Western Power in relation to the three outstanding matters noted above. Once the above matters have been finalised, the formal scheme amendment process will commence. This will involve further community consultation on the proposed amendment, which will include a community information session.
Further details on the progress of this amendment, including information on community consultation dates, will be provided on this page as they come to hand. In the meantime, please contact the City's Strategic Planning Department for further enquiries.
