South Beach Change Facilities to Council on Wednesday 26 October 2022.

It’s been a while since we provided an update on the progress of the South Beach Place Plan. The project team is pleased to inform you that the Preferred Design option (Design Option 1) for the South Beach Change Facility is scheduled to be tabled for consideration at the next council meeting on Wednesday, 26 October 2022. This meeting occurs in the context that Council having previously approved the inclusion of the Changing Places Facility within the project scope on 11 May 2022.

The approval of the expanded building footprint and its proposed siting will be the primary factors considered at the meeting. Should Council approve the design option at the meeting, Officers will proceed with Design Documentation of the building with a prospective view to commencing construction towards the final quarter of FY 22/23.

If you would like to attend the Council meeting on 26 October 2022, it will be held in the Council Chamber at the Walyalup Civic Centre at 6pm. Members of the public can attend in person or watch it online via the City’s YouTube Channel.
