The St Pat's Respite Centre Proposal aligns with several strategic priorities identified within the City of Fremantle’s 2024-2034 Strategic Community Plan, particularly under the Resilient City focus area, including:

• Availability of services and support for the most vulnerable members of the community, including improving access to programs that connect vulnerable community members with services and support.
• Strong partnerships with relevant State Government agencies and service providers, recognising that complex social issues require coordinated responses.
• A caring community that supports, protects and accepts those who are most vulnerable.
• A future-proofed asset base that remains functional and accessible to the community, through the adaptive reuse of an existing City-owned building for a community purpose.
