    Curtin University and Murdoch University in association with their project partners, invites City of Fremantle residents who have renewable energy or alternative water systems (such as solar PV, rainwater tanks) to participate in RENeW Nexus - a research programme and potential peer to peer energy sharing trial.

    Community participation in this project will enable research and data analysis to inform Western Australia’s transition to a new energy and water network. Visit the project page to find out how to express your interest by Friday 25 May 2018.

    Status: On 18 April, council voted for the funds raised through a special rate levied on commercial properties with the Fremantle CBD to be used to raise the City’s destination marketing activities.

    Status: A report will be presented to the Finance Policy Operations and Legislation Committee on Wednesday 9 May.

    Based on community preference, the report recommends option 1 will provide the most suitable solution to enhancing the safety and streetscape to this section of Collick Street and contribute to the City's Urban Forrest Strategy.

    Status: Based on the positive response from surrounding residents the White Gum Valley pocket park on the corner of Minilya Av and Biddles Lane will proceed.

    Minor alterations are being made based on resident feedback and site constraints and once the detailed design is ready an update will be given to respondents.

    Council adopted a new Precincts Policy on 18 April 2018. The Policy proposes all precinct groups have unrestricted membership and offers financial support (communication, financial, networking) to 11 precinct groups covering the entire City of Fremantle geographic area.   • Dog Exercise And Prohibited Areas Policy

    On 18 April 2018 Council adopted the Dog Exercise And Prohibited Areas Policy which outlines specified areas classified as dog exercise areas and dog prohibited areas. In response to community feedback, the proposal to prohibit dogs in the bushland at Samson Park was not included in the policy changes approved by Council. You can view the minutes online.
