Outdoor Events Policy: Business Survey

The City of Fremantle is reviewing its Outdoor Events Policy to ensure it continues to support a strong and vibrant events calendar while balancing community amenity.

Events play a vital role in Fremantle’s visitor economy, bringing people into the city, supporting local businesses, and enhancing Fremantle’s profile as a cultural destination.

We’d like to understand how your business experiences and perceives events in Fremantle, and to gather your feedback on the proposed policy changes.

Please make sure you have reviewed the revised Outdoor Events Policy and all related materials before submitting your comments.

We are asking the public to:

  • Review the revised Outdoor Events Policy, Key Documents and Frequently Asked Questions.
  • Contribute feedback by completing the survey below.
  • Provide a written submission or request a 1:1 meeting with a City Officer.

If you would like to meet with City staff before submitting your feedback, please email events@fremantle.wa.gov.au

Please note, submissions close 5pm AWST, 30 January 2026.
