Council receives outcomes & considers next steps

On 22 September 2021, Council considered the outcomes of the migrant heritage engagement project along with an update of the Heritage List. The report noted the high level of interest in the project and the focus on stories over physical places identified through the process. Council agreed to a series of future steps to advance the project (subject to resourcing) including an interpretive project, development of a thematic framework, and staged review of the City's Heritage Areas to better consider migrant heritage values. Funding and grant applications may be required for some of these.
