We are developing a new Youth Plan at City of Fremantle in partnership with WA's peak body for youth affairs, the Youth Advisory Council of Western Australia (YACWA).

Why make a Plan?

The City has begun the process of developing a new Youth Plan with the intent of providing a framework and coordinated approach to the inclusion and development of young people in our community. The aim of this plan will be to better understand what is important to young people and identify what we need to do to make Freo the best place possible for young people over the next few years. We want to talk to a wide-range of young people during the development of the Plan, but we also want to hear from parents and caregivers of young people.

How to get involved? Take the surveys

Freo Youth Survey

This is a survey for young people aged 12 to 25 who live, study, work, volunteer or spend time in the City of Fremantle. It is important that we hear directly from young people, about what issues matter to you and what you want for your community. The survey will take approximately ten minutes. If you leave your contact details, you will go in the draw to win a $100 EFTPOS voucher. Your email address and phone number will be kept separate from your other survey responses.

The closing date for the survey has been extended to midnight, Tuesday 11 October 2022.

Parent & Caregivers Survey

We developed a short online survey for parents and caregivers to have their say on current service provision and their thoughts and opinions about opportunities for the future. This is a  survey for the parents and caregivers of young people aged 12 to 25 who live, study, work, volunteer or spend time in the City of Fremantle.

This survey will take you approximately ten minutes to complete. If you leave your contact details, you will go in the draw to win a $50 EFTPOS voucher. Your email address and phone number will be kept separate from your other survey responses.

The closing date for the survey has been extended to midnight, Tuesday 11 October 2022.
