Development Application | 19-21 McCabe Street - Variation to DAP004/20 (DAPV001/21)

Consultation has concluded


The City of Fremantle has received a variation to development proposal DAP004/20 - an eight storey mixed use development comprising 11 grouped dwellings, 97 multiple dwellings, restaurant, shop)


The key amendments made in variation DAPV001/21 include the following:

  • Revised Development Description: “Eight Storey Mixed Use Development Comprising 11 Grouped Dwellings, 95 Multiple Dwellings, Restaurant, Shop”
  • 0.65m overall building height increase;
  • Reduction in overall residential dwelling number (108 to 106 dwellings total);
  • Increase in commercial space (Café & Shop use) along McCabe Street frontage (314sqm to 737sqm);
  • Reduced basement level footprint plus additional basement levels (car parking yield reduced, provision consistent with previous approval);
  • Increased and improved landscaping and deep soil areas;
  • Reduction in height (1 storey less) of townhouses in north-western corner of site; and
  • Alterations to apartment layouts and configurations.
