Community Safety and Crime Prevention Plan

We're seeking your input to inform our new Community Safety and Crime Prevention Plan.

The development, implementation and review of the Plan will be overseen by the Community Safety Reference Group (CSRG) which includes the WA Police and City of Fremantle staff and elected members. The Plan will set out clear timelines, targets and responsibilities and be developed based on stakeholder and community engagement and statistics.

Play your part in keeping Freo safe, secure and enjoyable for all.

We all play a part in our community. Browse our resources in the document library and useful links to consider how you can play your part with your home, your neighbourhood and your City.

Places for People Map

9 days

Our objective is for public places and spaces that are designed to be actively used throughout the day and night by everyone. Select a pin and drag it onto the map:

  • Grab a green pin to share a great place or space. In the comments tell us why do you like it? What makes you want to go there?
  • Grab an orange pin to comment on a place or space you feel uncomfortable or unsafe in and why.

If someone has already placed a pin please still share your thoughts.

It's helpful to know if you just pass through this space, stay there for a short time (e.g. rest break / wait for a bus) or if it's a destination or place you stay a while.

Key areas can be considered for principles including 'crime prevention through environmental design', we'll also pass the information on to other agencies or stakeholders where relevant or outside of our control.

Please note – mapping requires you to login or register, your screen name will be visible on the pin.

CLOSED: The places for people map consultation concluded on 12 April 2019.
