Consultation has concluded
The City of Fremantle is reviewing its Municipal Heritage Inventory (MHI), heritage list and places of heritage interest to improve the way we make heritage planning decisions.
Several amendments were made to the Heritage Review following community feedback. Council adopted this on 24 January 2018, you can view the minutes here.
What's under review?
Priority areas for review in 2017 are Fremantle, Beaconsfield and White Gum Valley. The review of the North Fremantle area was completed in 2016.
The review proposes:
deletions of places from the City's Heritage list
inclusions of places onto the City's Heritage list
updates to information on the City's Municipal Heritage Inventory (MHI)
a new heritage area in the area bounded by East, High, Wilkinson, Holland and Forrest Street, Fremantle.
