Attending Committee or Council

Members of the public are welcome to ask a question, make a statement or just observe the proceedings at open meetings.

The opportunity to address the Committee on the proposal is limited to a maximum of three minutes. You must register your intent to speak at Planning Committee with the minute secretary:

• In person before 5.50pm on the day of the meeting, or
• By email planning@fremantle.wa.gov.au or phone 1300 693 736 prior to 3.00pm on the day of the meeting.

With the recent developments and the impact Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) has had globally, the safety and wellbeing of City of Fremantle staff and community remains the City’s highest priority. With this in mind, whilst the Council meeting is open to the public and you may attend and address the Council if you wish, in the current circumstances if you have any further comments that you wish to make to the Council we would encourage you to consider providing these comments in writing instead of attending the meeting in person. If you choose to do this, the CEO will read your comments out at the Meeting during the normal public question time. If you wish to provided written comments to be read out at the Meeting please email your comments to planning@fremantle.wa.gov.au before 4pm on Wednesday 25 March 2020.

After the proposal is considered by the Planning Committee/Council, the application will be determined by the Joint Development Assessment Panel (JDAP). The JDAP meeting will be held on Tuesday 7 April 2020 at the Fremantle offices, Fremantle Oval 70 Parry Street Fremantle commencing at 9.30am.
