Is your property included in the City's 2026 Heritage Review?

Every year the City reviews Fremantle's Heritage List and Local Heritage Survey to ensure they accurately reflect places of local heritage significance. On 10 June 2026, Council granted consent for the City to commence advertising draft proposed changes to its Heritage List and Local Heritage Survey.

This year's review includes proposed additions, removals and updates to a number of properties across Fremantle. If your property is affected—or you have an interest in a place being reviewed—we'd like to hear from you before any decisions are made.

If your property is included in this review, the City is asking for your feedback before any decisions are made.

Depending on the proposal, your property may be:

  • proposed for inclusion on the Heritage List
  • proposed for removal from the Heritage List
  • proposed for inclusion in the Local Heritage Survey
  • proposed for an update to its recorded heritage significance
  • affected by an administrative correction.

Check whether your property is included

Search the All Places Affected by the Annual Heritage Update 2026 - by street document to see whether your property is included. The document explains what type of change is proposed for each place.

Once you have found the proposal for your property, review the other relevant list on the side of this page for more information, including the Heritage Assessment of Properties presented at the Council meeting, which contain more detailed information.

We welcome any information, photographs, plans, history or other that you wish to contribute that is associated with the places under consideration.
