The City of Fremantle has considered a request to amend the Lefroy Road Quarry Local Structure Plan.

The purpose of the amendment is to incorporate Lot 5 (Street No. 2) Strang Street Beaconsfield (the 'Portuguese Club' site) into the Local Structure Plan area to guide redevelopment for residential (potentially aged care) purposes. The proposal incorporates potential for height and density bonuses where certain criteria are met.

The amendment has recently been approved by the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC). The revised structure plan text and map is available in the document library (on the right hand side of this page).
